Grow it Green features New Jersey’s largest public school garden – the Urban Farm – on land owned by the Morris School District. This program provides farm-based education to the greater Morristown community, teaching the community where food comes from, learning how to care for our environment, and experiencing locally grown fresh food. Events offered include Farm Stand Days, which are the perfect choice for a crisp Saturday morning spent shopping for seasonal foods. Yoga at the Farm is also a great choice for staying active while social distancing.
Hacklebarney Farm Cider Mill
At Hacklebarney Farm Cider Mill, autumn family events are endless. Inside the 1850s barn, you can purchase seasonal and locally grown fruits and vegetables and enjoy a delicious apple cider donut while you watch a cider pressing demo done by the pros. There is also a beautiful pick-your-own pumpkin patch and a fun twisty corn maze for the kids.
Sitting on over 400 acres of Morris County, New Jersey, Ort Farms is providing fresh farm goods and fun fall activities for people of all ages. During the week, you can go pet farm animals, shop at the farm market, and try the hayride or corn maze.
