Revolutionary Times-July 4th in Morris County

July 4 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

The annual reading of the Declaration of Independence by costumed interpreters will take place on the Morristown Green at noon with activities beginning at 11:30 am.  This is a free event as are all of the activities listed below.  In case of inclement weather, the reading will be held inside the Presbyterian Church on the Green, 57 East Park Place.

Morristown National Historical Park open 9:30 am to 5:00 pm

1718 Whippany Graveyard Tour at 10:00 am  Pre-register at [email protected] or by calling 973-631-5151

Acorn Hall (GPS: 68 Lafayette/68 Morris St. Morristown) to the Powder Mill hike at 10:00 am and 2:00 pm

March from the Ford Mansion (30 Washington Place, Morristown) to the Morristown Green at 11:15 am

Public Reading at Noon of the Declaration of Independence at the Morristown Green (Park Place) with the Loose Canons singers-11:30 am

Tours of the sanctuary and graveyard of the First Presbyterian Church (57 East Park Place) following the Reading

Organ Concert at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church at 1:30 p.m.  (Corner of Miller and South Streets, Morristown)
