The Longo Planetarium is adding two amazing shows to its Winter and Spring schedule of public programs. “Amazing Telescope” follows two young students to an astronomy event where they explore how telescopes have transformed astronomy and our understanding of the universe. “Out There” visits some of the incredibly strange and enigmatic planets we have discovered orbiting nearby stars. We also delve into the possibilities of extraterrestrial life “out there” in space! One of the most popular shows at the planetarium “From Earth to the Universe” is continuing this spring. This show reveals the splendor of the Universe from planets, stars and colorful nebulae, out to the glittering myriads of galaxies beyond.
All shows include a tour of the night sky and planets. These programs will start February 10 and continue on the second and fourth weekend of the month through May. Tickets for all shows are $10 per person per show. Online reservations are strongly encouraged; limited tickets will be available for purchase at the door. All programs start promptly.
