Of Milkweed and Monarchs

September 9 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

$5 – $6

Discover what steps Morris County Historical Society is taking to attract Eastern Monarch butterflies to the small meadow in Acorn Hall’s historic woodlot on Wednesday, Sept. 9, at 11 a.m. The woodlot, destroyed by Superstorm Sandy, is in the process of ongoing restoration to encourage the return of native plants, animals, and insects to the area. MCHS is located at Acorn Hall, open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4 p.m. Admission, which includes the exhibits and grounds, is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for students, and is free for children under 12 and MCHS members.
