NJ Audubon: Tourne County Park
Field Trip led by Dave Oster, NJ Audubon Naturalist
We’ll explore wooded trails adjacent to a large wetland area known as Rattlesnake Meadow. We’ll be looking for nesting birds like Pileated Woodpecker, warblers, flycatchers, vireos, kinglets, as well as late migrants. A Red-shouldered Hawk was spotted last year. The Meadow often has Wood Duck and Great Blue Heron. Time permitting we’ll walk the shorter trails around Rigby’s Brook.
