Morristown Festival of Books
The Morristown Festival of Books is New Jersey’s premier book festival that celebrates the power of the written word to challenge, transport and transform, while bringing together the community in conversation. Each year’s festival features more than 40 authors appearing in person, including children’s authors at KidFest. Authors speak and answer questions for one hour at one of several Morristown venues. Book sales and signings take place on the grounds of the historic Vail Mansion at 110 South Street under tents. The festival is a rain or shine event as all author talks take place indoors.
This year’s closing event combines two of life’s joys: wine & words! Join us as we welcome actors from the renowned Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, who will honor the great tradition of live storytelling by reading/performing two contemporary short stories inspired by Shakespeare’s universe. The program will be directed by STNJ’s Brian B. Crowe. Wine will be served.
Seating is limited, so early ticket purchase is advised. It will be a night to remember as we gather to cap off our festival weekend, experience the delight of hearing talented professional actors breathe life into words from the printed page, and raise a glass in celebration of the literary spirit that inspires us all.
