Julie Orringer is the author of two award-winning books: The Invisible Bridge, a New York Times bestselling novel, and How to Breathe Underwater, a collections of stories. She will be in Morristown discussing her new book The Flight Portfolio, which received a starred review from Publisher’s Weekly, who said it’s “destined to become a classic”. It is an historical novel about Varian Fry, an American journalist who, after witnessing Nazi atrocities, formed the Emergency Rescue Committee in occupied France. Fry has had international recognition for his part in saving the lives of Jewish artists, writers, and political dissidents during World War II.
