Give the Gift of History

December 12, 2019 @ 11:00 am - January 5, 2020 @ 4:00 pm

MORRISTOWN, NJ – If you’re looking for a unique Christmas gift that highlights local history, look no further. The Gallery Gift Shop at Acorn Hall has been recently restored and offers high-quality items that can’t be found in any store or online.
By shopping the Gallery Gift Shop for reproductions of Morris County’s earliest maps and atlas prints, you’ll be decorating your home with local history while supporting three local small businesses. Combine a framed map or atlas with an Arcadia book for an added discount.
Among the many other items, is a large collection of Lucille Hobbie pencil sketches including more than 20 local historic landmarks including Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Macculloch Hall, and Washington Headquarters.
A perfect gift for children is the “Fun Winter Afternoon” gift basket, which contains two gingerbread house tree ornaments, antique fashion paper dolls of the 1890s, cards and books. For the Morris County enthusiast, our “Made in Morris County” basket features a mug, candles, and a tree ornament made by Garden State Glassworks.
Before visiting MCHS, check Groupon for your discounted tickets and family membership. The membership is perfect to regift or keep for yourself!
MCHS is located at Acorn Hall, 68 Morris Avenue, Morristown, and is open Wednesdays and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 1-4 p.m. Admission, which includes the exhibits and landscaped grounds, is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for students, and is free for children under 12 and MCHS members.
