Flock Together: Acorn Hall’s Backyard Nest Boxes
August 3 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm$5 – $6
Discover what steps Morris County Historical Society is taking to attract native tree cavity-nesting birds with Bluebird nest boxes in the small meadow in Acorn Hall’s historic woodlot on Monday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m.
The woodlot, destroyed by Superstorm Sandy, is in the process of ongoing restoration to encourage the return of native plants, animals, and insects to the area. This program is intended for adults; wear sturdy shoes for a brief walk to see the nest boxes.
MCHS is located at Acorn Hall, 68 Lafayette Ave., Morristown, and is open Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Sundays, 1 to 4 p.m. Admission, which includes the exhibits and grounds, is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors, $3 for students, and is free for children under 12 and MCHS members.
