With more than 20 bands, nearly 40 floats, and 6500 in the line of march, the Boonton Centennial Parade, held on Saturday, June 3, 1967, was the biggest parade the town had ever seen.
Interspersed among the marching groups were dozens of convertibles, antique cars, horses, carriages, and wagons.
Positioning himself on the Town Hall portico roof, George Bates filmed the parade using 3 reels of 8mm color film.
