Camo 5K Color Run/Walk
The Wharton Municipal Alliance is hosting a 5K Camouflage Color Run on Sunday, September 24th. This year’s run is dedicated to the men and women who serve(d) in the Armed Forces.
We have requested assistance from the U.S. Marines & U.S. Army National Guard to include their rock climbing wall for participants to try, some military vehicles as part of our finish line and some personnel to assist with our obstacle course.
Our local American Legion Post 91 will be presenting their Color Guard for opening ceremonies. The Post is also inviting everyone from the run to come for hot dogs and birch beer afterwards.
All proceeds from the run each year help fund drug and alcohol free events for our middle schools in Rockaway Township, Rockaway Borough, Denville and Wharton as well as both Morris Hills High School and Morris Knolls High School.
