Annual Dinner & Benefit at the Museum of Early Trades and Crafts
On Saturday, September 23 at 6pm, the Museum of Early Trades & Crafts (METC) will host New Jersey History: Lighting the Way, a dinner and benefit with guest speaker Bart Oates, three-time Super Bowl champion, former NY Giant, and current Chairman of the New Jersey Hall of Fame. The dinner, catered by Chef Rob Ubhaus of Redux in Madison, will be held under an illuminated tent on the front lawn of the Museum’s historic building on Green Village Road. Cocktail hour entertainment will be provided by Jerry Vezza, well-known jazz musician and talented pianist. Tickets for New Jersey History: Lighting the Way are available at http://www.metc.org/gala-fundraiser/.
A “Giving Auction” after the dinner will provide an opportunity for guests to give directly to schools or organizations close to their hearts. This live auction raises scholarships for schools, senior groups, urban school districts, and special needs organizations to experience one of METC’s creative and engaging museum programs. METC has a list of groups requesting scholarships, but guests can also bid to support a group of their choice. Last year, this auction raised scholarships for groups such as ECLC of New Jersey, the Madison Area YMCA, Newark Public Schools, Victorian Garden Adult Day Center, Boy Scout troops, and ARC Union Country.
METC welcomes participation in this dinner and benefit in many ways. For sponsorship opportunities, please contact Erin O’Donnell, External Communications Coordinator at 973-377-2982 or email [email protected]
