The Folk Project

The Folk Project is a music and arts organization that sponsors and organizes a variety of folk activities across northern New Jersey.

The Troubadour, a Friday-night concert series, takes place at the Morristown Unitarian Fellowship in a former Gilded Age mansion known as “Gateways.”  Swingin’ Tern is a contra and square dance series held the first and third Saturday of each month at the First Presbyterian Church in East Hanover.  Beginners come early for lessons.

Of Special Note:

  • The Folk Project hosts 130 events annually
  • The Troubadour encourages first-time performers at its Open Stage open mic nights
