There’s so much to see and enjoy at Schiff that it’s no wonder this is the place where “Wild Things Happen Naturally!” With almost 15 miles of marked trails and approximately 768 acres of land in the heart of beautiful Morris County, N.J., visitors can come out and explore trails, attend passive recreation programs, hold a green-themed birthday party, or send the kids to a popular Summer Nature Program. Schiff is rich in history too. From Revolutionary period artifacts to vintage buildings constructed by the Boy Scouts of America during the Depression era, there are still (geocaching) discoveries to be made!

Of Special Note:

  • Scouts are welcome to attend many Badge Programs, camp at the preserve, and complete service projects by selecting Schiff as their benefactor for Eagle or Gold Award projects
  • Monthly Volunteer Opportunities are available for the public to help maintain trails, buildings, and infrastructure
  • Come out and hike, serve, explore, and support efforts to protect the natural beauty by becoming a member
  • Children’s camp
  • Perfect for wedding and engagement photo shoots
