Patriot’s Path

If you enjoy recreational activities like biking, horseback riding, cross country skiing and hiking, Patriots’ Path is an excellent trail.  It has been growing gradually, developing into a network of hiking, biking and equestrian trails and green open spaces linking several dozen federal, state, county and municipal parks, watershed lands, historic sites and other points of interest across Morris County. Comprised of 55 miles of main trails and 35 miles of spur trail located on 291.9 acres.

Of Special Note:

  • Path lies along the Whippany and Black Rivers, and a branch of the Raritan River
  • Hikers are almost always strolling by water features
  • Paths, paved and non-paved are on mostly flat terrain
