The Morris County Library serves nearly 500,000 people a year and provides county residents with a state-of-the-art facility consisting of reading and audio materials, access to technology and a calendar of activities for children and adults. Originally opened in 1922, with a collection of 10,087 books and 99 library stations set up in county stores, schools and town libraries, the MCL moved from the county courthouse in Morristown to its present location on Hanover Avenue in 1968.
