Mahlon Dickerson Reservation

This is the largest park in the Morris County Park System, encompassing 3,346.07 acres of beautiful near-wilderness and recreational areas. The Reservation is the park to visit with over 20 miles of multi-use trails for novice and experienced skill levels. The camping area has tent sites and Adirondack shelters complete with platforms, picnic tables and fire rings. The trailer area has paved sites and features electric and seasonal water hook-ups, picnic tables and charcoal grills.  Call the Campground Office at 973-697-3140 or to reserve.

  • The campground features four activity areas, and areas for RVs, tent sites and Adirondeck shelters, open April 1 to November 31
  • Don’t miss the view from Headley Overlook at 1,280 feet
  • Bike trails, horseback riding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and softball
