The 233-acre environmental center offers endless ways to get in touch with nature through its meadows, flowering trees, wildflowers, gardens, hiking trails and guided nature walks. A looping trail through one of the fields allows a closer look at the various plant, bird and mammal species that reside in the meadow habitat. The NJ Natural Heritage Program lists five species as “a concern” or “endangered” which have been documented at the Kay Center, a testament to the high quality of its native ecosystem.
