Over 500 farmlands, hillsides and homesteads in New Jersey played a part in the American Revolution. Of Special Note:
• General George Washington spent more than a quarter of his time as the Commander-in-Chief stationed in New Jersey
• There are 49 National Heritage Areas across the country, but this is the only one specifically dedicated to stories of the American Revolution
• Roughly 300 battles and skirmishes were fought throughout the state
