"Come into the Garden"

10:00 am – 10:45 am		Acorn Hall, Morristown The lovely landscaped Victorian garden features 19th century flowers and shrubs. (Turn right out of parking lot, make first left onto Washington Place, turn left onto Morris Street, the street will change to Whippany Road, follow to East Hanover Avenue and turn left, entrance to Arboretum is on your left.)

11:00 am – 12:00 pm		Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Morris Township Enjoy numerous theme gardens and specialized collections of shrubs and trees. (Turn right out of Arboretum to Whippany Road and turn right, follow over Route 287 to traffic light, turn left onto Ridgedale Avenue, and turn right onto Morris Street, continue to the Green and go halfway around, following Route 202 South, turn left at second light onto Macculloch Avenue, Macculloch Hall will be on your right.)

1:00 pm – 3:00 pm		Macculloch Hall, Morristown This two acre restored garden is the oldest in Morris County.



"Industrial Heritage Tour "

10:00 am – 12:00 pm		Cooper Mill, Chester Watch grain ground into flour and hear a master miller explain the history of the mill and the vibrant community once called Milltown. (Follow Rt. 24 East to Rt. 206 North to Route 80 East take exit 35, turn left onto Mt. Hope Avenue to Richard Mine Road and turn left, follow to Coburn Road and turn right, follow to park entrance.)

1:00 am – 2:30 pm		Mount Hope Historical Park, Rockaway Hike the trails; the park was once a booming iron mining and processing site. (Turn right out of park and reverse directions to Rt. 80 West, exit 34A; merge into traffic; turn right onto Dewey Road; turn left onto North Main Street; cross over the Rockaway River turn right onto Pine Street, at the Wharton Department of Public Works turn left keep driving turning left and left again around the park and up to the upper parking lot.)

3:00 pm – 4:00 pm		Hugh Force Park, Wharton Visit this preserved section of the Morris Canal, walk the towpath and step back in time.

"Take the Kids"
10:00 pm – 12:00 pm		Morris Museum Home to the Murtogh D. Guinness Collection of Automata and Music Boxes, this exhibit is sure to delight the child in everyone, don't miss the dinosaur exhibit! (Turn left out of parking lot, follow to Whippany Road, turn left on Whippany Road, follow to 3rd light and bear right to Morristown Green, go halfway around the Green, follow signs for Route 202 South to Tempe Wick Road, turn right on Tempe Wicke Road, park entrance is on the right)

12:15 pm – 1:15 pm		Lunch

1:30 pm – 3:30 pm		Jockey Hollow, Morristown National Historical Park Home to over 10,000 soldiers during the Revolutionary War, the soldier's huts and the Tempe Wick House can be toured

"The Four National Historic Landmarks"

9:30 pm – 11:30 pm		Morristown National Historical Park; Jockey Hollow, Morris Township Start at the Visitors Center and then stop by the Wick Farm, where costumed interpreters will take you back in time, then it’s on to the Soldiers Huts, try to imagine this as the 4th largest city in America in 1779. (Turn left out of Park onto Tempe Wick Road, follow to traffic light and turn left onto Route 202 North, turn right onto Macculloch Avenue, #50, Macculloch Hall #45).

12:30 pm – 12:45 pm		The Thomas Nast House, Morristown This privately owned residence (not open to the public) was the home of political cartoonist, Thomas Nast, creator of the Democratic Donkey and the Republican Elephant, as well as the popular image of Santa Claus. Macculloch Hall, across the street, is renowned for its collection of the works of Thomas Nast. (Turn left onto Miller Road and follow to end, turn left onto South Street, turn right at the Green, follow Morris Avenue to Route 287 North to Route 10 West, turn left onto Manor Lane, Craftsman Farms is on the right.)

1:00 pm – 2:00 pm		The Stickley Museum at Craftsman Farms Craftsman Farms is the home of Gustav Stickley, furniture manufacturer, architect, publisher and leader in the American Arts and Crafts Movement. The home exemplifies the Simple Life that Stickley advocated. Turn right onto Route 10 West, make a u-turn at next traffic light, follow Route 10 East to Route 202 (Speedwell Avenue) South, follow through Morris Plains and into Morristown, Historic Speedwell will be on the left.)

2:15 pm – 3:30 pm		Historic Speedwell, Morristown This is where Alfred Vail and Samuel F.B. Morse first demonstrated the electromagnetic telegraph. This site has 8 historic structures, including the Factory Building, where Vail and Morse worked. (Turn right onto Route 202 North to Hanover Avenue, turn right, follow to end and turn right onto Whippany Road, Whippany Road will change to Morris Avenue, turn left onto Washington Place and right into parking lot.)

3:45 pm - 5:00 pm		Morristown National Historical Park; Washington's Headquarters, Morristown The home of Mrs. Jacob Ford, Jr. became the center of the American Revolution in 1779/1780, when George Washington was headquartered here.
