Glenn Coutts, President of the trustees of the Morristown Green presided over the ceremony with Steven B. Wiley, who served as chairman of the Green Vision Community, the fundraising operation, raised $4.6 million, including $1 million for this year's restoration of the Morristown Green. The intent of the project was to make the Green more reflective of the history of the American Revolution and to develop a consistent source of funding for future maintenance.
Among the dignitaries in attendance, the ceremony included a special guest, Francois Delattre, consul general of France in New York. Mr. Delattre was presented with a bust of of the Marquis de Lafayette as a token of appreciation on behalf of the trustees by Glenn Coutts.
